According to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), any structure that carries a highway load and has a total length of twenty (20) feet (6.1 meters) or more is a bridge. According to the Ohio Revised Code, any structure that carries a highway load and has a total length of ten (10) (3.05 meters) feet or more is considered a bridge.
